How Do You Do is a series of open lectures that invites interesting people to share their work, thoughts, knowledge, success and failures. This is an ongoing and valuable opportunity to see what happens behind the scenes of a creative mind.
Signe Johannessen-How can we act together to create an extended field of action for the artistic practice!
In this this lecture Signe Johannessen will depart from her own personal history and the projects that has been defining for her in her professional role. She will share her strategies and methods in expanding the possibilities and action spaces that often are presented to newly graduated artist today.
Signe has developed a hybrid practice where the collective work of running Art Lab Gnesta www.artlabgnesta.se together with her collegues and her individual work www.signejohannessen.com coexists and feeds into one and other. She will bring you on a journey to dismantle, or why not crush, the myth of the individual artist genious to investigate what alternative ways of practice can grow and thrive in the rubble.
Signe Johannessen is educated at (KHIO)Kunsthögskolen in Oslo and (KKH) Kungl. Konsthögskolan in Stockholm.
